PrintHistory

King Pedro I of Aragon gave his second wife, Berta, the Kingdom of the Mallos, in celebration of their wedding in Huesca in the year 1097.
This distribution corresponds to a small territory in pre oscense: Murillo Agüero, Riglos, Ayerbe and Marcuello and other small towns located in the Hoya de Huesca.

At death the King Pedro I of Aragon took the Aragonese throne his brother Alfonso I the Battler, left no descendants since.

Thus, there remained a kingdom within the Kingdom of Aragon, where Queen Bertha was the sovereign of the territory.

The Kingdom of the Mallos disappeared in 1111 that became fully integrated into the Kingdom of Aragon, that is, it existed from 1907 to 1111.
